In other words, does your website produce results? One of the first questions I ask new clients: “What are the goals of your website?” The usual reply is, “Uh…I’ve never really thought about that!”

Well, start thinking about it folks. Here are some possible answers to the question “What are the goals of your website?”

  • To have a nice looking website that represents our business well.

  • To educate our customers/clients on all the services we are able to offer them.

  • We want people to “ooh and ahh” over our previous work and, in turn, get them to pick up the phone or e-mail us to schedule an appointment.

  • We want a website that is convenient for people to schedule service with us.

  • We want our website to stay updated with our current specials and be a place our customers visit weekly to learn what’s new.

  • We want to use our website to generate a database of customer e-mails to use for marketing purposes.

  • We want our website to produce new sales leads for our salespeople.

  • We want to produce $10,000 in sales this calendar year through our web site.

Take some time to jot down some of your website goals. A website can be effectively built and managed when you know what results you want to produce from it.

Share some of your website goals by leaving a comment to this post.
